First off, I want to announce my new fabulous CT members! I really got so much more of a response to my call than I expected and it was such a tough decision. There is just so many talented ladies out there and they all just blew me away! I was able to pare it down to 11 wonderful girls, {ok, so I had intended to take on 8, but well, they were all so darn talented!!} I don't know why this is showing up so small, sorry---click on the pic to see the names better!! =D

Oh, and look at me with my bad self!!! I made it onto two more design teams and I am totally excited about both!! Leah is fairly new to selling her designs, but she is off to a fabulous start!!! You can see her designs at Oscraps.com and at Digiscrappin.biz! Go check her hot stuff out! And well, Jasbeanie---a name that no doubt most of the digiscrapping community is very familiar with. I have loved her stuff forever and I am just in complete and total AWE being on her team!! Wahoooooo!!

This was such a fun project! I printed out all her papers and stuff and altered a composition book with it. I even printed the digital ribbons on fabric so they could be real ribbons and get alittle frayed for a nice effect. Really happy with how it turned out. Jasmine...goddess!!

I have a new kit that dropped at PDW this week! This one is called Calvin and its inspired by all those wonderful little mischievious boy-moments!

2 Ughs...and a few Yippees!!!

Ok, so I said I had some fun news coming, SO HERE IT IS!! =) Check out the call! Here are links to my stuff at Plain Digital Wrapper and at Digital Freebies. Don't be shy..apply, apply, APPLY!! =)

Here is a layout I made with Fee Jardine's awesome kit "You&Me" from the Digichick. I took SO many pictures at the beach a few weeks ago. LOVE my new Nikon,...never ceases to amaze me that I can take shot after shot and not have to worry about running out of film...or memory card space, for that matter---the 1GB card was SO worth the money.
Oh, and I little insider secret---the writing in the sand? Photoshop---gotta love it.

And last but not least...a little sneaky peek at whats coming soon! On the homefront...it looks like we may be moving soon!! Yippee! We actually accomplished what we thought was an impossible feat in California---we bought a house!! House prices here, as many well know, are just ridiculous, so we were sure we would never be able to pull it off. But lo and behold! We are now homeowners!! Man, the whole housebuying process...sure, looking at houses is fun but the rest of the ordeal is just stress, stress, stress!! UGH #1!! ;P
But the house is totally cute,..looks all cottagey and sweet. I'll have to post some pics sometime soon.

I think I may rid my family of television. This week it was the cause of great havoc in my house. Ok, so I was cleaning up the house, vacuuming, and my two boys are sitting on the couch. I notice my laptop there so I say to my older son, make sure the baby doesnt knock the laptop. He says okay, looks at the baby for a second, and the second my back is turned goes back to watching tv...well, of course, next thing I know, the laptop is on the ground, the lcd screen completely destroyed, and my son comes out of TV coma looking shocked at what just happened!! Major UGH#2!!! So now I am without laptop, and with buying a house we really don't have the money lying around to fix it, and won't for who knows how long!! Grrr...

Ok..enough of my rambling...now stop reading this and go get your CT applications ready!! ;P

Lots to update..I guess to start I will make a big announcement! I am selling at the incredible new site, Plain Digital Wrapper! So many great designers there, and I am just floored to be rubbing elbows with some of my own favorites! You MUST go check it out if you have somehow managed not to spend a fortune there already!

Ok, so..I have been busy, I haven't just been not blogging because I am sitting on the couch eating bon-bons and watching Johnny Depp movies..LOL..although that does sound kinda fun right now! So WHAT have I been up to? Here goes...
My little guy turned one last month!! OMG!! Where the heck did that year go?? I was damn near in tears all day, I couldn't believe it. He is just getting so big, saying new things everyday, walking (he actually started walking at 11 months, so he is pretty much "baby-running" now!) Exploring at every second, inventing new games for himself,...I have been non-stop video taping and photo-clicking(which brings me to other news...I got my new Nikon D50!! My other baby!!) Here are a few shots from birthday

He has a blast that day, playing in the sand, until he accidentally got it in his eyes..ouchie!

We have also been house searching. We've found a few we like, and have got the financing somewhat in order, so hopefully we'll be getting somewhere with it soon. We are looking to move to a smaller town, just outside the bigger town we live in now...that is ideal...having access to all the shopping and movie theatre and things we enjoy now, while still being able leave behind the crowds and "less desirable" aspects of city life...can't wait!!=)

Fun Stuff and a Toot for me!!

Ok so I know I should be getting into bed right about now, since I do have to get up and go to work in the morning, but I just couldn't let my poor little blog go neglected one more day!

Hey, look what I made!! My little guy, Declan, blessed me with a 3 hour nap the other day and from somewhere came the urge to work with {gasp!!} PAPER!! Man, has it been ages, eons even, since I worked with paper for anything but greeting cards! There was this little canister that I was just dying to decorate, so I went for it! Of course, I couldn't completely abandon my digi-scrap...haha, the papers are printed out from a digikit! Fee Jardine's fabulous Cool Denim papers, to be exact. Check it out..I even broke out my sewing machine and stitched on the corners!! Now there's another one of my little gadgets that hasn't seen the light of day in WAY too long! Sad, really, because I have a TON of incredible vintage fabrics that are just screaming to become my next favorite spring skirts!! =)

Speaking of Miss Fee Jardine...I have wonderful news!! Toot, toot, toot for me!! I am officially a FeeBee Girl! I was so excited to get Fee's email offering me the spot and you wouldn't believe the list of the other girls she picked for her team...the FeeBee Team is just OOzing talent!! =) I can't wait to get started!!
This is my most recent LO...I took over the Inspiration Challenge at the DigiShoppe while Misty has been out with computer troubles. Last week I challenged everyone to use a children's song, but also asked that the LO not be about a child. It was a fun one. The song I chose was "Running down the Hill" by Laurie Berkner---for those of you that don't know, she is this totally bouncy chic on a kids' TV channel called Noggin. The song is just so cute, about a flower that sways quietly in the wind, watching the kids go by and then as soon as no one is looking the flower goes running and jumping and dancing down the hillside. It sort of has a funny little meaning for me,...I am an extremely shy person but when I get in my comfort zone and with people that I am comfortable with I can totally let loose. New Banner and a Few LOs

I finally got off my tush and made myself a new banner for my blog. What do ya think??
Not too much else going on. I have a new kit that will be releasing in a few days, super "Springy"---and huge!! It was one of those kits that I just kept adding to and adding to until it was completely out of control. Nonetheless..I love it. The banner was made with stuff from it. so there's your sneak peek =)
I scrapped a bit the last few days. Here's the thing, my two older kids, Zac and Mei...They are now 12 and 10. They have been driving me just BONKERS with all their constant bickering lately. I know,..totally normal for siblings to be at eachother's throats. But still...SO I have been on a little kick of scrapping them when they were little and lovey toward eachother...I have a ton of pics like this and I love everyone of them!! =)

OK so on the down side I am a naughty and unreliable blogger...having been missing from here since the first of the month...BAD. On the up side--WOOHOO we got our income tax check back! Yeah, baby! We went out a few days ago and I got one of these little beauties...

I love having a camera and a video camera with me at all times...that is the BEST. Now as a scrapper, I did have some issues with taking less than perfect quality photos, but ya know, with a 9 month old, there are so many moments I would just hate to miss capturing because I didn't happen to lug the camera around that day. And of course...its PINK..you just can't beat that! On another pink note...we got new bedding today at Linens and Things...and lo and behold, the hubby let me get a beautiful pink set!! I was so shocked---no way in hell did I think I was going to get away with that! Such a wonderful man I have! =) We are going to be redecorating the bedroom, painting the wall a nice dark brown and the soft pink bedding is going to look just so chic in there. I am so excited and can't wait to get started! We are doing stripes on the walls the same color "dark walnut" but in high gloss and matte and a white embossed wallpaper is going on the ceiling that I am going to "antique" a bit. I will get some pictures on here when its all done!

OH MY, look what we've got goin' on at the Shoppe! Can someone say SUPER SALE?? Now, I know you all don't want to miss this!! =)

My little guy, Declan, is 9 months old now. He is just such a character...melts my heart every stinkin' day! He is standing up now and he is just so proud of himself. He gets up there and just GRINS, bounces alittle and then sticks is tongue out for a grand finale raspberry! I swear sometimes I feel like a brand new mommy again, the way I catch myself just staring at him in wonder.

This my newest little creation...its already in the store at the Shoppe so get it while the sales are HOT! It will be available at Digital Freebies next Tuesday as well.

Finally!! The bug has been squashed!!

UGH. I hate the flu. And I didn't even get it ( I am thankin my lucky stars for my flu-shot) but my two older kids and my husband did. This was an ugly bug, too..knocked the two boys sideways and took my daughter out of school for a few days. Not fun. So that is where I have been, playing nurse, while my designs and my scrapping and my poor little bloggy get neglected.
THANKFULLY, everyone is all better now. Yippeee!

Did you all see the home page of the DigiShoppe!?? It is just the coolest thing! Talk about vintage chic!! Misty rocked that photo---the pink photo tinting is just awesome! I am a total vintage girl. Comes from having parents that are antique collectors and flea market hounds...gotta love them for that. The 20s are my absolute favorite era for style. So elegant, but with so much attitude. The hats say it all =) I have collections of hats, purses, clothes, shoes (deadstock only on the shoes...kinda gross if they aren't, ya know??)
Why, oh why, can I not get out of Target for under $100 bucks!! ?? Pretty soon my husband is going to ban me from going anywhere on my own! There is just too much fun stuff at that darn store! And soon my best friend, Amy is going to move back from Florida, and its bound to just get worse!! =)
Uh-oh...I hear a little one stirring--guess this blog entry is over!! =) Oh, one more thing before I go...a LO share, this one was for the AD Challenge at the Digishoppe---the freebie was way to cool so I couldn't let it get away =) The hanging element was suppose to look like a cow bell, but I don't think I quite accomplished it..hmmm...

Been a scrappin' fool lately!!

I have been on a scrapping streak lately! I am so proud of myself! Plus I have been in a super girlie mood lately, and picking up mostly girly kits, so it goes without saying that my daughter just had to be the star of all my recent scrapping! Plus I have been rescuing tons of photos of both my son and daughter from my mother's shoe box photo collection. She had such a better camera than me when they kids were really little and I am so grateful for that!!

And lastly, my sweetie eating sweeties. This kit was so much fun..Fee Jardine's Chocolate Cupcake from the Digichick. I waited anxiously for this kit to be released after I saw it on her blog and it was definitely worth the wait!! Love it!!

I love these shots I got of him looking out my bedroom window. I never cease to be amazed by the way he looks at everything around him in complete wonderment! I am feelin it today, though---it was the first really athletic thing I have done since Declan was born nearly 8 months ago, so I am pretty sore today and will no doubt be even worse off tomorrow! 31!! Ack!

So today I turned 31...la-dee-da..
I don't know why I had such a hard time with this today. It got me alittle down and this is the first birthday that has hit me like that! Although, thinking back on my day now, (at this ungodly hour of the morning) maybe it was just a sort of bummy day. I had to work, for one thing. At least all the library-roamers were in good form today...no crazies =) I was having clothes "issues" for another thing...nothing looked right. I am just getting back to my pre-preggie shape which is a great thing, yes...but I am also finished nursing, and well, quite frankly after 16 months of being "volumptuous" ---at least in one area!!---lets just say I have deflated, physically and emotionally! Not only that, but lately when I look in the mirror I actually see aging. Ok now I am no fool, I know 31 is still incredible young, but I guess some days when I am tired and worn out, its just easier to see the little wrinkles in life. And for a final blow, I found out this morning that I didn't make a design team that I was really hoping to make. Ah, well. Maybe next time.

Of course, by the time I get myself to bed and start reading, I get through 2 pages and fall asleep! It will take me until next year at that rate!! =) Wish me luck! Hehe...

a little somethin'

I have got to stop staying up until 2am!! I think it is finally starting to catch up to me! I mean, geez, I am hitting 31 and its going to be all downhill from there! =) Of course it could be the fact that there is also a little person waking me up at 730 am! I just can't stinkin' help it. When the kids go to bed, I start creating,...and once I get started on a layout or a kit, I usually can't sleep until its done! I am terrible! Ah, well...
I have a little kitty in my lap. All day long, my kitty Keegan, pretty much ignores everyone in the house. Then every night, while I am sitting here glued to my computer, she climbs up into my lap, gives me a nice little glare to say "you're not moving for a few hours, right?" and settles in. Cats are just so funny...they can be all about love and snuggles, as long as it's on their OWN terms. purrrrrr....
Well, if you are reading this, thanks so much for visiting my new little bloggy. I am still trying to figure out how everything works so if things go alittle wonky in my first few weeks, please bare with me!! Is it bare or bear? Ha, it's now 230 am and if anything is going wonky here, its my brain!! =)
